We had a wonderful Spring Break this past week. We ventured off to Utah for awhile to visit with some friends and Ell's side of the family. The drive which is usually quite brown and not appealing was surprisingly beautiful this time of year with all of the mountains covered in snow.
We were able to stay with one of my favorite friends~ Kendra whom I've know since we were 6. Her kids welcomed my crazy kids with open arms and let us destroy their house for a few days. Somehow I managed to not get any pictures with Kendra or Dave (or baby Holly) but trust me- we had our fun times of staying up way too late, eating yummy dinners, and of course Kendra and I entertaining ourselves with shopping and fun crafts with the kids. We managed to go to Sonic EVERYDAY for lunch which was the best =)

We took the kids to Temple Square and walked around the temple grounds. It was SO windy that the water in all the fountains were blowing out.

We also visited a chocolate factory and watched a video about the history of chocolate. The kids were well behaved and even got a little sample at the end.

The kids have NEVER seen snow falling so we went outside and spun around while trying to catch some in our mouths. It was awesome and they loved it. When we woke up the next morning- the snow finally stuck to the ground and they were able to go out and play a little.

We stayed busy while painting, making flower barrette's, making chocolate succors, and other crafts. They had a great time. Thanks Kendra & fam for a GREAT visit! =)
We also were also able to visit with Ells Grandma. It was great to see her and visit for awhile. The kids all tried to be on their best behavior while the grown ups "visited".

We stayed with Elliots 2nd cousins which were so great. The kids thoroughly enjoyed playing with the stock cars and lego's (along with tons of other great things). Also the dog Sam was a huge hit. They live in Alpine and have quite the view. What a beautiful place!
We had to get a visit in at BYU and show the kids what a fun place that is. The "Y" was pretty covered in snow on the mountain but we managed to get a few pictures of it. (look to the left of Elliots head in the picture. It's there I promise) =)

They also loved shopping at the bookstore and of course loading up on our BYU gear. We are all set for............... well, I don't really know what we are set for but let's just say "Go Cougars!" =)

We traveled home on Saturday and were anticipating a huge snow storm across the Sierra's. Thankfully we missed it and made it home safely. There was a very questionable 20 minutes just outside of Wendover when we were doing some serious praying as we drove across the ice and snow. Thankfully Heavenly Father guided us safely through it.

These cute kids were wonderful travelers. They made the trip enjoyable and no one complained that we had to watch Schrek the Third 3 times because Macie wanted to. =)
What a fun Week!
