So, last week we had a very spontaneous moment. Elliot mentioned something about going to Disneyland and I took that idea and ran with it. Very soon after, my sister Jody and I made hotel arrangements and we headed off a few days later to the magic kingdom with our whole crew. We didn't know what to expect while being there on Memorial Day but we were pleasantly surprised that it wasn't as crazy busy as we thought it might be. The weather could not have been better.
Ellie's favorite ride the entire day was Big Thunder Mountain Railroad and she loved the fact that she got to dance in the parade with all the characters. We had to do some serious convincing to get her on the Indiana Jones ride and once she was off- she said she liked it because "dad almost got eaten by the snake". =) Scot loved EVERY ride. He was fearless and that made us parents really proud. He loved finding the treasure on Pirate Island and was a big fan of Star Tours as well. Macie really loved the Winnie the Pooh ride, Dumbo and the Merry Go Round. By the end of the day with no nap- she really didn't know if she wanted to cry or smile at the parade..... so she did both. She was a trooper though and finally gave in and fell asleep around 9pm in the stroller. We really enjoyed experiencing Disneyland with our kids. It was truly a "magical" day to get away and enjoy time with our family. 
I'm jealous. Not just that you got to go to Disneyland, but also that your kids actually went on the big rides! My kids both CRIED on Pirates, so there's no way we'd get them on Indiana Jones or Star Tours. Looks like you had a fun trip!
